ABOUT US

"The Church is the only society that exists for the benefit of those who are not its members."
—William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury

Multi-coloured origami paper doves hang from a mobile with the words Share it, Live it, Be Bold with it.

St. John’s Church is a vibrant, joyful congregation which seeks to reach out to care for and embrace those who are hungry for God, and which seeks to nurture, challenge and equip our members in faith and for ministry.

We are a parish that cares for its own, reaching out to each other and connecting by phone, by letter and by video–praying for each other as we face similar challenges.

We are a  body of people determined to look outward, building relationships to engage the needs of the wider neighbourhood.

We are a community in which people of all ages are welcomed and included and loved, with a wide variety of worship styles and programmes to meet the spiritual needs of different people.

We strive to ensure that newcomers and visitors experience a Spirit-filled atmosphere when they come in. Our worship, ministries and programmes are designed to help people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are proud to be a part of the community of Thorold and the beautiful Niagara region. We are grateful members of the Anglican Diocese of Niagara, the Anglican Church of Canada and the worldwide Anglican Communion with more than 165 countries.

This is a place where, regardless of where you are at in your faith journey, you will be loved and supported.
